Hey guys,

I've been busting my *** to finish this build on my car, and I got everything finished up last night. I went to crank the car late last night and it just kept on turning over.

The car's been parked for about two months now, and I havent changed anything electrical other than the MAF. I wired in a Q45 maf. The wiring seemed pretty straight forward, Black and white shielded wires, and then two more wires, one black, and one black with a white stripe, this is the same as the RB mafs so I just matched them up, was this wrong? Also if I try unplugging the maf it still wont start, usually it'd start and run rich and only rev to 2500.

I only have one code, code 21. I believe thats ignition circuit.

I pulled the two most convenient coils, and I do have spark. You can smell the fuel, and I do have sufficient fuel pressure.

I'm a little confused on where to look next, but I really REALLY want to finish this thing tonight. I've gotta drive to my parents house about an hour away, for christmas, and I'm really cutting it close. Prompt responses are definately appreciated!!

Thanks guys-Max

Just pulled the cas and manually rotated it, I heard all the injectors click and it stinks of fuel pretty bad. Still absolutely no firing. Checked ground to my ignitor, power to coils, etc.

Safc. Okay I got the car to fire but it is so damn rich it wont stay running, I now no longer have an ignition circuit code, but I do have a maf code.

I need someone who's wired in a q45 maf, as I dont think mine was wired in properly. what do I do exactly?

I have a 3 pin p60 with a black wire, a white wire, both shielded, and a black wire with white stripe unshielded.

On the RB20 harness I have a black wire, a black wire with a white stripe unshielded, and then a black wire and white wire, shielded.

dont forget on the rb20 harness that the white sheilded wire is ground and the black sheilded wire is the signal.

Eh? I finally found that same info after searching for quite a while. Exactly what I needed.

The wiring was almost opposite of what I thought it was supposed to be.. Car fired up but is open down pipe, its incredibly loud. Not your average RB loud either, I mean, with this new manifold and huge turbo this thing is LOUD.

Thanks a ton for everyones help, I really appreciate it!!

OH yeah open down pipe is crazy loud. I just got my car running too, with the new wg and manifold it's kinda loud under boost with only 7 psi. It's a lower pitch sorta bassy loud vs my ssac manifold/hks wg/20psi high pitch shriek .

Merry Christmas, I hate you all.I gotta work today
