These are supposedly made for the president.. I ordered them, but I am getting skeptical.. They are very nice (leather) but I'm not sure how they would work with the push button latch open/close system ours has now.. I figured since they said q45/president they would have this integrated, but it looks like they only have an opening.. I don't want clunky visors..

I have strong doubts, because the Q's visor fits SO snugly, I cant imagine there being room for a cover.

What do you mean by cover? You mean these might fit over the OEM ones?

I was thinking these replace them...

Argh..

Perhaps I have been looking at these the wrong way.. I was thinking they were made to replace the original visors.. Maybe they are supposed to fit over them.. Then you remove the mirror cover from the original ones.. That would seem to explain why there is no mirror in these.. They look to flexible to be used on their own..

Hmm.. must investigate further

HEHEHE...

Ryan, they are either covers which are "supposed" to fit over the stock visors or they're replacement material for your stock visors.

Chances are they are covers which means it'll be a tight squeeze.

What can I say? I couldn't resist. They do look nice, but I am unsure of their fittiment.

Hope you didn't pay much for them...

Not too attractive, but you know what they say about opinions. :)

I'm thinking a good upholstery shop could make leather covers for them for minimal expense. My mom made me a set of covers for the visors on my GranSport back in the day... Nice cream-colored perforated leather...

But I agree with Mini, I don't think they'll work with the latch system... Snug in the visor recess. Plus that floppy mirror cover is... well... [opinion deleted].

Yes, I am a little disappointed with the mirror cover..

Look at this auction http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co...96055

They look much snugger and more luxurious. Also they have a mirror, and the mirror cover doesn't seem flimsy.. I can only assume there is a normal mirror installed under them..

I dunno, I may not get them. I really liked the auction item, and the thought of leather sun visor covers..

I'd say get them custom-made.

Did you pay yet?

They kinda look like they were homemade.

Argh.. what a pain in the a$$..

Any idea of how much that would cost? I suppose I will need to go to an upholestory place to have the interior recarpeted where they put the roll cage in..

What do you guys think a fair price for leather sun visor covers custom made from an upholestory shop would be?

Haven't paid yet..

Another reason I wanted them is they have storage compartments.. The Q has no where to put my shades!!! I would of much rather have a pop out storage compartment as opposed to the little mini visor that comes down.. Really sun usually never hits this middle part, and it if it does, it's not hitting my eyes, so I don't give a wh00p..

I dunno what to do.. Maybe I am making a big deal over nothing.. The leather looks good IMO.. I am worried about the fittiment though.

Thank you for the honest comments guys, much appreciated.

I wish the Q had those little pull-out visor extenders. Our Suburban had them, and they're sweet.

Driving home on the I-17, the sun comes in JUST behind where the visor ends... Grrr.

For sunglasses, I like the little clip things that connect to the visor, they're like a buck or two, and work well.

Quick threadjacking... how do I keep my passenger side visor arm from popping out of the hole in the roof? Glue?

Ok take a look at this auction

http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co...96055

Tell me these don't look much better in the auction. I am assuming they are fitted over the Q visors in those pictures.. The mirror cover doesn't look flimsy. The leather its self looks like a nice snug fit over the visors..

I think they look really good in the auction its self.. Which I am hoping is showing a pic of it over the original visor..

maybe they just look flimsy/crappy because they arn't fitted over the visor..

What do you guys think of the ones pictured in the auction?

Hey y'all, my oem visors won't stay put in turns when I place them on the side. Is this normal? Are there any fixes/adjustments for this problem?

Ryan,

Once they are mounted they will look as they do in the auction. They are flimsy because they are just a cover for your visors. Hopefully everything works out!
