dee? someone? im about to blow my car up. the car ran awesome after my swap, months ago. i decided to upgrade some parts when my stock turbo took a **** on me and my maf shorted out due to some last minute shoddy wiring. i went t28 turbo, z32 maf, dsm injectors, rom tune, yadda yadda. best1 did my tune and i socketed my ecu. the car will not start. fuel pump primes when its supposed to. im getting spark and fuel. i took off the cas and turned it, the injectors clicked and the fp came on. i dont know what else it could be. i ungrounded my maf one time to see if that would make a difference, some one on another forum suggested it. i dont know what else to check. my cylinders flooded maybe? seems like it would still fire though. i just dont understand, timing was NEVER changed in the process. seems to me if i had fuel and spark i would get something. no. my car hates me. im getting the right fuel pressure and everything. i wouldnt mind checking my ecu to see if my socket job is the problem. pins 15 and 16 connected at one point while soldering, and i get continuity through those to pins even though its fixed and the solder is gone. so i figured it was supposed to be like that? if anyone has a spare socketed ecu i could borrow let me know. im leaving for vacation on sat. for a week so when i get back. i dont knwo what to do at this point.

note: also wouldnt start on stock eprom wouldnt start with maf unplugged would it matter that my ecu was an auto ecu? i figure just the eproms were different

Check the fuel lines, the filtered fuel should go the the opposite side of the fuel rail as the fuel pressure regulator. This is a common mistake. Hope this helps, if it doesn,t ....do you have the resistors wired in the for the injectors?

yes. i have the stock injector resistor. so wait. the fuel goes from the filter to the port under the intake plenum. through the rail, the regulator, and returned to the tank? woo!!hopefully this is the problem but i dont think it was like that before i redid the fuel system.

but how would this cause my car not to run? its still getting fuel..

low fuel pressure will cause a crank no start problem... so u might be getting fuel, but there isnt enough pressure to properly atomize the fuel so it can be ignited.

my gauge was reading like 45-50psi though. it fluctuates sometimes but i think i have it dialed in. hopefully when i switch the fuel lines it works. can anyone else confirm this? are my fuel lines wrong and will it cause it not to start?

oh and thanks guys. nico has the only good ca section with people that know what they are talking about. i wouldnt be where i am today if it were for this forum.

it will read that its making pressure because the FPR is restricting the amount of fuel it lets past it to maintain pressure pre-regulator. So if its installed on the feed side, it will make the pressure between the fuel pump and the FPR.

fking A dude. thanks SS. this is the only snag ive hit along the road. i'll definately post pics of my setup tomorrow once i get it running. i cant believe something so little would hold me back like this. i feel like a complete dumbass. i mean ive stripped this thing down to the shell, stitch welded, swapped, upgraded, worked on this thing without any help and any problems, and this is the thing that i mess up? now that i think about it, it makes complete sense. thanks guys for all your help. this will be it until i save up another chunk of money.

no prob bro, like i said, lots of people do it, so dont feel alone. its a common mistake to make because you have it appart for so long between swaps that you forget where the fuel lines go.
