hey guys i have a 89 240sx and im planning on putting a redtop sr in pretty soon. and i just bought a 99 tiburon. and well today i noticed that the place were i bought my car from has a 95 s14. but the thing is that its an automatic. and screw that dont wanna deal with that, screw automatics! but the thing is 240's for sale around here are rare and this ones a really nice 240 and i really like it. but i want to get a grasp on how much it would be to do a transmission conversion for it. and also if possible could i use all the stuff from my 89 240 manual transmission setup? And ive never done a transmission conversion so i get it done by someone. So how much would it cost.

Shouldn't cost you anything if you do the conversion yourself. All the parts you need are already on your '89 except the driveshaft; the '89 driveshaft is way too short for the '95 S14. The A/T driveshaft on the '95 might be a bit too long as to cause binding at the transmission; if so, you'll need an S14 M/T driveshaft.

Well if you're still using your 89 then there's nothing you can use off it unless you drill a hole in the transmission for the sensor your S14 would require... you can find a full set up for anywhere between 300 and 1000, I know that's a huge range but it all depends on the deals you find and how patient you are, and that's without labor
