I went and looked at a 1992 Eldorado today. Not a damn thing was flawed on it. The paint, chrome, tires, OEM wheels, seats, and dash were as if the car just rolled off the assembly line in Michigan. Navy blue, chrome, and beige leather with Zebrano wood. The owner is a chatty older guy.
There's some really interesting design touches. For example, the hood dips DOWN between the fenders as an homage to the upright headlights of the 1950s. Same for the trunk and the subtle tailfins. It was so damn beautiful and so f****** elegant I almost cried.
I took it for a drive and fell madly in love, wrong wheel drive and all. Unfortunately, there's one HUGE glaring problem thats keeping from fulfilling my fantasy -- my legs are too f****** short. The pedals are located way the hell down there, so I have to practically kiss the steering wheel to get proper control of the vehicle. This means my elbows are bent and I'm driving like a granny.
I might be willing to accept airbag-inflicted decapitation for that level of style. Or I could get platform shoes... with fish in them.
*sigh*
No pics because I sold my camera and didnt buy a new one yet.
