you could put together a setup with a used turbo for less.and the key thing missing out of that kit is tuning software and tunable ecu.romtunes are ok, but sometimes unreliable.

id spring for a standalone first, then move on to picking out turbo parts.

fyi cxracing turbo kits are comparable to your avg. ebay sellers turbo kits.im guessing there a bit better tho. idk

I hate to say it, but SEARCH.

I have read a couple of reviews/writeups on it but they might be buried so spend a couple minutes looking for them. From what I remember, the fitment was not too bad but you need to relocate your PS reservoir. It seems ok if you use an oil restrictor so you don't instantly blow your cheap chinese turbo's oil seals. Also, I would ditch the FMU and use something else for tuning. Also, I hear the topmount mani's crack easy so you might want to weld in some reinforcements.

i can get that in the same website, i just want to know you think they make good quality parts and if that is enough stuff for 1300 bucks.

Most people would say to stay away from CX Racing, especially for a moving part like the turbo.

BUT, if you do everything correctly and are smart about how you hook everything up, there's a good chance it'll be just fine. I've seen a few people running these for quite a while now.

But again, I wouldn't ABSOLUTELY bank on it. Don't be surprised if you blow the turbo when you're super hard on it. Remember, it's a BRAND NEW turbo kit for $1300. Don't expect it to be top quality, or you will be very disappointed.

Spooled240 has a t3 t4 cx racing turbo and it's been fine for a year or two I believe. It really just depends on your set up, and sometimes luck with the turbo itself.

ok ill add that everything in that turbo kit is good EXCEPT

- T04E Turbo, 3" Air Inlet- Stainless Steel manifold - BOV

those are the biggest things.a friend of mine recently blew a ebay waste gate on 13lbs with a turbonetics 60-1.

so unless your pushing alot of lbs, that wastegate should be fine.

but by all means like i said i know a few people who have run these setups for 1-2 years without a problem so im saying GO FOR IT!just dont plan on the turbo seals lasting for long.get it rebuilt when they blow and your good to go.

and again. tune with standalone.afc wont cut it.

stock ECU will have to go or be chipped.stock injectors will have to go370s or higher needed for those power gains

if TUNED WELL a healthy stock motor will handle 250.and i emphasize tune.. because i made the mistake of running a afc and cracked a ring land. so i speak form experience

as far as standalone. i recommend NISTUNE easy to work with and FULLY standalone, at a great price

common knowledge about how the ECU controls the car fails you.

bit of advice.. do your research before taking on a task such as this.please.

the ECU limits much more than just fuel cut.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE slap on a turbo kit with the stock ECU. Then, post a video of your first startup and rev. Everyone loves to watch a video of a noobies engine exploding.

That is like looking at the horizon and saying...hmm, the earth must be flat.

THERES NO WITH CARS

DO RESEARCH.

In order to make a value judgement (If it is worth it) you need to post more information on the product. Like what type of numbers will you be seeing from this setup? Are you looking at a turbo that runs 5psi @ 75% of it's full potential. Does this kit need fuel upgrades? Lots more info needs to be disclosed. I wouldn't give a lot of value in the BMC shield, they are just bent thin pieces of metal

If you are new to the boosting thing then I would buy a comprehensive kit.

Ok ok, sorry I was harsh.

Really though, if you want only 250whp max...I would go with a t25 or t28 setup. It will be the same price but you will have much better throttle response and reliability. Plus, you can use one of the cheapo ebay manifolds (like the cxracing one) and they have been proven to work fine.

So here is what you will need:370cc injectors (sr injectors are direct swap)T25 or T28 from an sr (make sure there in little to no shaft play and all the seals are good)Oil lines for turbo (feed and return)Weld in a bung for the oil line on the oil pan (get a shop to do this)Exhaust (2.5 or 3 inch)Clutch (something that will hold 275lb of torque just to be safe)Ebay t2 manifold bottom mountDownpipeSomething to tune it...like a rom tune...Blow off valveIntercooler (either stock sr sidemount or a ebay front mount will work great)Boost controller so you can raise boost to make that 250whp

Good luck. You really need to do a ton of research so you don't blow your motor.

My buddy Rodney tried out the CXracing kit on His Toyota pickup truck with a 2JZ in it. and the turbo lasted Maybe 2k miles and never saw more then 14 psi. had it set at 12 psi for a few days then blew his transmission then it has been set on 8psi ever since. just junk is all it is. no big deal, you live and you learn.
