Make your own:Dixie CupsFlexane 92/94Threaded Rod, washers, a couple o nutsAnd some time

Probably the cheapest and best mounts you can get. Or if your rocking a R32 Xmember and stock mounts, then pull them out an fill them with Window Sealer or Flexane.

SEARCH AZhitmans threads to find out about those DIY mounts

By NEW engine mounts I assumed you had some Top Crap Mounts already and the Isolators took a shyt on you.

Oh in that case

I have offered several times in different threads to provide solid urethane isolators and a beefier transmission mount to replace the insufficient parts on the TopHat mounts, but nobody shows interest so...

I need about 25-50 people for the transmission mounts to keep the price down around $75 each. Figuring that there are more than 50 Core mount kits out there, it shouldn't be tough to do. IMO, all of them need to be replaced. The 1/8" steel plate is just not rigid enough.

The front isolators will be relatively stiff urethane and will have to be bolted thru like a solid-mount would. cdorhout is running a couple now and he says he can feel vibrations more than the McKinney isolators allowed. Only difference is they can't be pulled apart /fail.

Oh, and they aren't gold anymore. Powdercoated black.

Back when he first posted that thread, I contacted him in reference to my problem with using Nismo KA mounts + old Ruckus-Racing kit, so they fabbed some to be able to use them and have the hood closed with the stock intake manifold. He sold me the ones they used to fab it up (still production model) and my hood can successfully close now.

I think they make all of them with this option now. Before my set of engine brackets, you had to specify which ones you needed.

Dude, the old Rukus Racing mounts are the Core Mounts =JUNK!. The new Ruckus Racing mounts are a lot better and made with 3/16" steel plate instead of 1/8" steel. They're thicker, but I am still leary of the moment resistence of a flat piece of steel where the bending moment is parallel to the flat side of the plate. This is why I went with channels.

Note on the engine mount above...I'm going to tell the fabrication shop to use a damn MIG welder instead of handing it over to a 10 year old with a stick welder.

I got McKinney mounts with my swap, since I bought my motor set second hand. They were great and I'm glad I got them, and if I had to do it all over that's what Id get.

Its pretty much between the syko and McKinney mounts as the only good options. I know the guy that originally designed the ruckus racing mounts and I know the original ones were good but they have changed production methods too many times.

either syko or mckinney.

i have the syko mount kit myself and i love it. haven't heard anything too bad about mckinney tho. doesn't matter which one you get, they're both good mount kits.

I use Darius Manufacturing Co. urethane isolators up front. They're the best I've ever owned! And I've wrecked two pairs of McKinney.
