I've got an M30 myself, but not with the stock engine, so I can't help you out on your slowness problem. Just remember, it's a heavy car with a somewhat underwhelming engine and automatic transmission, so a speed-demon it is not.
If you look at pictures of R31 Skylines and compare them to the M30, which is an F31 by the way, you will see that other than front bumper, headlights, and taillights, the cars are VERY similar, so I wouldn't be surprised if the chassis themselves had some interchangeability. However, good luck finding parts for an R31 Skyline
Also, there ARE in fact bodykits for the M30 (Nissan Leopard in other countries) but not many, hard to find, and probably even harder to get. The only company name I can think of off the top of my head is Diana.
Oh, almost forgot...you can interchange some parts with those from a Z31...that's the first gen 300ZX. You can use parts from it to convert to 5-lug, and the differentials exchange, I think, so you could theoretically get an LSD for your car that way. The drivetrains are also interchangeable, to a certain extent. I personally have a Z31 Turbo engine and transmission in my M30, but didn't do the swap myself, so I can't tell you that much about it.
