Instead of going through the trouble of molding and whatnot, why not just go for the cool vent stickers? Same functionality for cheaper. They're also a lot easier to install.

You're a good friend to walk into a giant flame of abuse on his behalf. He should reimburse you for the nomex. 'The link would not open for me, which is probably a good thing. Non-functional add-on plastic hood scoops are almost as gay as Alteeza tail lamps on a QX4.

I think you would do your friend a better service by suggesting that he get a rainbow bumper sticker to go along with the fake scoop. Or instead buy a replacement hood with the fake scoops/vents/creases/flares pre-formed.
