I need HID help! please!

Hi all, this is my first post but I've been stalking these forums since I got my a/c a year ago. I'm sorry to be a complete newb but the wiring harness from the headlight doesn't fit the ballast to the ddm hid kit. I've searched around and found nothing on the subject. Am I a complete idiot or is something not right?
