the biggest thing you are gonna need are jdm titanium muffler bearings, the stock ones wont handle the heat.

Throttle-back the flaming, give him a chance. E16? Isn't that that little engine with the funky shaped valve cover, came in like old Pulsars and Sentras?

I believe it has a carburator (sp? Firefox doesn't like it) as well doesn't it? AFAIK, there aren't any off the shelf performance parts for that motor. Not to rain on your parade, but that motor was designed more for economy than anything else. The Pulsar is a great chassis, with great potential, I just might question your current motor's capabilities. Of course a turbo will fix anything IMHO!

Are you willing to spend some $$$$? That project is not simple, but it is doable and you are from my area, so I can drop you an email or you can leave your # and I'll give you a call ASAP.

well im not really going to use the car to race but i would atleast like to have sum extra power, if it was possible i would rather add things to the current engine, instead of doing an engine swap, but it things come to no option then yeah im willing you spend a some cashh on the process my friend is currentyl selling his ca18det for 1000 besides engine cost what other things do i need to do the process, im 15 btw its hard enough for me to earn sum cash but i have about 3 gran so tell me my options!

The E, if I am thinking of the right motor would scoot with a little boost, some intercooling and fuel. Nothing to brag about but it would suprise many.

When I think "E" engine I think E15 turbo, like this. E16i sounds suspiciously like a TBI NA version. Unless you really want to use this engine for some reason I would say don't try, you would have to fabricate everything, I don't think anybody makes go-fast goodies for it. Were it the turbo model it would respond to the same tricks any more recognized turbo motor would but if it is actually the TBI one no turbo you are so far behind the curve it would be a feat to pull much more power than stock out of it easily.

well yeh it is a very rare engine has to be one of the slowest engines nissan has created, thats why i want to do as many things as possible to it using as littie money as possible, i would do a swap to a ca18det but thats to much money, im only 15 so my money range isnt to much. the car is fuel injected yet it has a carb style intake with the donut air filter im wondering if im able to convert that into a cold air so gain sum accelaration. im also considering changing the headers and the down pipes to see how much i can get out of this baby. the car isnt to fast at lights but at cruising speed of 40mph ill floor it and hit 60mph in no time. the engine sounds great for being stock but i would like to unleash sum more hidden power, ive found sum chip on ebay that says it would increas horsepower and acc. u think its worht it or its just a scam. btw if u find any performance parts on it let me know or gime ideas on custom performance adjustments. ill take sum piks to show u how the e16i motor looks like!

You are 15 and I assume this is your first car? I would suggest you concentrate on basic maintenance and less on speed. I was that age, I know how you feel but you should really be learning the craft of driving right now. The E will get you where you want to go and a basic tuneup, if the motor is in decent condition, will give you some pep.

I know this is a really old post but have you actually done anything to it from this point on? I have the same issue and cant help how this is the weakest car I ever owned of all cars i've owned, the 300zx was the best I ever had and was the non turbo version. I wanna know what possibilities you can do to a stock e16i engine because I do believe if it can take a beating it sure can pull other surprizes, I have to mod my Pulsar for that I want to prove people wrong that this Nissan is not to be messed with or laughed at.

I am not saying don't do it but you will spend potentially more money for likely less output when it's all done compared to starting with the CA18, even the ET.
