sorry its non-related 240sx help.. but i really need help and you all are very helpful.. anyways so my problem is this...

i have a 99 nissan sentra gxe limited edition with 130k miles.. everythings been running great and fine.. and the other day i was driving home and all of a sudden it jerks and then turns off.. while i was driving.. so i pull over, put it in park, crank it, and it wont crank over... take it to a mechanic and he says that its the distributor..

now my problem is is that hes charging us 600$ with labor to fix it.. is this right? or am i getting ripped off?please help, joe:help :help :help [email protected]

$20 worth or parts and $500 worth of labor.

$100 hour / labor

4 hours sitting on the car and playing with the radio

30 mins lunch

15 mins bathroom break

15 mins to change parts out

Thats how I would run my shop if I ever own one =)

Get a second opinion, you might be surprised when you find out its some 4 dollar sensor.

I have a 1989 240sx on its original distributor...go figure.
