i need help with 89 240(transmission question)

thanks first of all and my question is how do you remove the wire at the very back of the passenger side of the transmision finally got the engine out after having about one hour a day for four days but that pesky wire wont let go of my damn engine

Are you referring to the wire connected to the metal thingy? That is the speed sensor. The s13 speed sensor has a wire tail about 12" long with a plug on the end that connects to the lower transmission harness. Trace the wire to the plug and disonnect the plug and then the wire will 'let go' of the engine.

actually i got that one no problem this has about three or four wires going into a round fixture about 1 1/2 inches in diameter with two prongs on the outside edge to keep it from spinning. i wish i could figure out how to upload my pics!!!!!!
