i need help wiring in a kill switch on an s14

how do i go about it?

i allready have the switch in the location i want... i just need to know what wires i gotta get power from and wether or not i ground it to the frame to to something else in the ignition circuit.

and i gotta do it tonight before i leave to Inglewood...

i don't want my car gone when i get back to it

First of all, what are you trying to kill exactly?

Fuel, spark, starter?

You don't need to ground anything, unless you want to have the LED on your switch work, in which case why the hell are you hiding the switch? :P

For my fuel pump kill switch, I took the wire from the ECU that turns on the fuel pump relay, cut it, and spliced the wiring from my switch in to bring the wires together.

Make sense? Search, there's a damn good write-up floating around here.

i was thinking about killing the starter... but if the fuel pump is easier... then hell yeah

so you got it right from the ecu... sounds simple enough... which port is the fuel pump wire located?

Hey VMP whats up, hey would you take pics of your install? I am trying to do the same install on my car, but there are no pics here which is making it harder. I have a 95 s14, and I was thinking of making a kill switch for the fuel pump, starter, and sparks. But for now need anything, so will go for the fuel pump since I heard it's easiest.

"Now run this wire under the dashboard to the driver side foot well. Connect your toggle switch to the two wires. Hide the switch in a creative spot. Start the car with the switch on. It should start and idle normal. Flip the switch off and the idle should start to bog down as the engine starves of fuel. If your switch works correctly, you're done! Bolt your ecm back in and fasten all the interior panels back together. Hide the wires as best you can and the job is complete."

I quoted that from the last step of the tutorial that Hitman created.

Here is my question: If I try to start the engine with my new fuel pump switch off, and the car chokes, etc, will anything bad happen to the engine or will anything mess up? Or if I start the car then turn the switch off? Other than dying out, just wondering if anything will malfuncion? Thanks. The instructions seem pretty simple, I am doing this this weekend!!! But I cant tell where i put my switch!! Heres a good idea though, put is as a button in the radio, so you cant start the car without the radio, and take the radio out when your not parked, or some type of key thing that you can take out when your not in the car. Maybe in the cigarette lighter, by creating a circuit of some sort instead of an actual switch with an obvious button.

Some people think the Cigarette lighter is a good kill, have it setup where you have to hold in the cigarette lighter in to start. Now, the flip side, you can take the cigarette lighter with you so not only will they not know how to start the car but they probably wont even have a cigarette lighter to even try. I think its pretty clever.
