i need help where to connect properly the rpm

i have a pivot rpm gauge but its not working properly i connected it crank angle sensor, i need somebody to help me where to install it properly i have redtop sr20det, thank you

I think another way of doing it was to connect it to the ecu. Forget which pin it is for the rpm.

hook it up to the back of the gauge cluster harness, its self explanatory once your back there, you can read off the rear of the gauge cluster to find out wich wire is wich, the rpm signal wire is right behind the rpm gauge on the harness.....

Why would you not want to attach the RPM gauge to the RPM signal wire? Im confused? Also if you hook it the coil signal wires it wont read right since youll only get 1/4th of the RPM signal. The CAS should work since I had to do it on my old SR with the SAFC.

but my original cluster rpm gauge is not working though where or which wire im goin to connect it, can u send a diagram for the wiring or is somebody can teach me how to do it, i really appreciated any help thank you......

Sounds like you have a bigger problem than trying to find the RPM wire. Or is this a SR swap into a SOHC S13 240sx?
