WELL BASICALLY I AM A BRAND NEW INFINITI OWNER AND I GOTTA SAY THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT CAR. I AM AN EXTREME COMPETITOR AND HATE BEING BEAT WITH CARS I KNOW I SHOULD BEAT. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS I DON'T KNOW **** ABOUT CARS AND WHERE TO START FIXING IT. PPL RECOMMENDED ME TO COME TO ONE OF THESE FORUMS BECAUSE YOU ARE THE PPL I SHOULD BE TALKING TOO SINCE WERE ALL INFINITI OWNERS. EVERYTHING ON MY CAR IS STOCK, MY MAIN GOAL IS TO TURBO IT AND JUST CREATE A BEAST OUT OF IT. I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING PARTS LIKE CRAZY, BUT I KEEP GETTING PARTS FOR THE COUPE, GOD THAT GETS IRRITATING LIKE THEY DIDNT ALSO MAKE A SEDAN LOL. I KNEW THEY HAD THE SAME ENGINE, SO I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IS THERE SPECIFIC ENGINE PARTS FOR BOTH CARS IF THEY HAVE THE SAME THING, THE ONLY REASON I BELIVED IT CUZ MAYBE THE BODY STYLE WAS DIFFERENT AND THE ENGINE SPACE WAS SMALLER OR SOMETHING. BUT THEN AGAIN MY CAR IS AWD, WOULD THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SELECTING PARTS? SORRY I COULDNT FIND THE LINK FOR THE MODIFICATION THING U SAID, IS IT A FORUM, ARTICLE, SPECIAL PART OF THE WEBSITE AND HOW TO I GET TO IT. NICE MEETING U BY THE WAY!

Welcome to NICO! Let me try and answer a few of your questions.

Crank pulley (underdrive pulley): be careful with this mod. If you plan on adding a stereo, I would advise against this mod. The VQ35 alternator is not high output; underdrive pulleys would make it worse.

Exhaust: I'd recommend the Stillen CAT-Back system; great sound and good build quality.

Chip: There isn't a "chip" available for the VQ35, but you can get a custom tune. I'd save this for after you've done a few more mods.

Don't forget the intake! A popcharger will add a few HP and give you a great intake sound!

If you have more questions, search around the board...it might have been asked and answered already! Lastly, watch your CAPS...its difficult to read, and comes off as yelling

one guy told me that when you turbo charge the sedan..you really dont need the air intake cuz i guess you dont need it when you do a turbo kit, i wasnt sure if he meant it with a certain turbo kit or i dont need it watsoever when i do this mod?

If you go with FI, then the intake track is replaced. If you go turbo, some of the exhaust is replaced. Unless you're getting a turbo within a few months, I'd go ahead and get the intake. You can always sell it when you go FI.
