I need help to connect Ignition switch 2000 QX4.

Hi,My QX4 was stollen last year.4 month later it was recovered.Old ignition swith was destroed so I'm trying to install used one.Some wires are missing if enyone can give me any help with ignition connection.Where can I get ignition wiring diagram?Ed.

Do you need to have the key to the ignition or the VIN #, because there is a built in transponder (chip) in the key which needs to be programmed?? Let us know how it goes. Sorry I can not help with your question.

I do have a key with new(used) ignition swich.I did not know I have to reprogram key.I think I can do that thru infiniti dealer after I'll connect my ignition.Still need directions.Ed.

Download an FSM from this page...http://www.phatg20.net/modules...id=63

Look in the EL (electrical) section for the 'starting system wiring diagram'. It will tell you how the ignition switch should be wired, and mentions the colors of the wires leading to it.

Thanks a lot!!!It is by far the Best sorce.I will have to spend few weeks to make my own diagram.Even in this manual Starting System has only basic connection which does not cover connection of all Six wires.But thru Elecrical section of this manual I should be able to find them all.Loks like there is no easy way to do this.Thanks again.Ed.
