ok...... my car just died 3 blocks away from my work...it just died at a stop light and wont really turn back on... it will... but it wont stay at idle... it dies right way.... and since its an automatic i still have no way of moving it (once you try to get out of park it dies again) what lead up to this was it would surge if my foot was on te gas even a little bit and would drop really low in the rpms if i didnt have my foot on it.... even less that it does normally being an automatic..... so basically i am stuck at work (not on the clock since i need my car fixed first) until i can figure this out!please help me!

btw my cars a 95 s14 240sx with nothing done to it

CHeck your intake assembly, from the air box all the way up to the intake manifold. It may have come loose. I know my car does what yours did if my intake wasnt hooked up correctly.

Car: I love to tinker whether on cars trucks or anything else that has lots of parts to tinker with.

It could be your air filter. I had the same problem on a honda prelude and it turns out the air filter was clogged.
