I have been working on a 450sx project with a friend,
we already have the motor, trans, wiring, upgraded ecu and most of the stuff to do the swap.
but they guy that was going to make the headers bailed on us because he doesn't think he can do it.
anyone know where I can get someone to make me the headers or somewhere that I can buy them?
This is the first of 2 450 projects we have planned and so far this isn't going well.
any help would be appreciated

does mazworx sell them for S13s?

I believe the passenger side clears and you can modify the rear 2 runners on the drivers side... Im not sure about that..

Theres sure plenty of info out there...

I haven't really had a chance to look yet.
I was kind of thinking that guy was gonna do it for me.
I figured he could since he runs an exhaust shop.

Do me a huge favor and see if the Titan headers fit!

They should bolt up, but not sure they will fit the chassis. Look at the JBA shorty headers. They are the smallest I've found but I haven't tried them yet.

fabbing headers is time consuming...not hard just alot of time involved.

Mazwork headers fit the S13, apparently better than the s14 as the s14 requires a lil chassis tweeking according to the mazworx manual, my headers fell right in and cleared perfectly.

Thanks for the help guys.
I'm still not sure exactly what I'm gonna do.
But now I at least know that if all else fails I can buy them.
Thanks again

FYI, unless you have the mazworx engine/transmission mounts, I wouldn't mess w/ their headers. Their headers are designed around their mount kit. if your engine placement is a little off compared to mazworx, then it's not going to fit.

I figured that would be the case.
Thanks for the heads up though

i wouldnt go that far, on an s-chassis, as long as you didnt modify the crossmember, remove the sway bar, or sit the engine retardedly high, there is really only one way the engine can sit. I would say they would fit regardless of the mounts, if you sit the engine the correct way.

Ive done 3 of these swaps already, and i used the mazworx headers once, and i bet they would have fit in the other two with my own mounts.

The VK has a different flange pattern than the VH. The Titan headers won't fit.

Hmm.
Well I think I'm going to get the whole kit for the second swap.
We might try to make the headers work on the current one.
We'll see.
I'll keep this updated
