Ok guys, so just bought my 2001 GTR with the RB26 motor. It was backfiring a lot and had a lot of hesitation in higher rpm's while driving. I read that your plugs make a world of difference. So I pulled out the old plugs which were platinums at a heat range of 5 and a gap of 1.1mm. I installed the NGK Irridium IX at a heat range of 7 and a gap of .8mm. so it still backfires when you let off of it and is smokin a bit.....kind of thinkin maybe an injector or ignition system problem or I could be way off......any help from experience would be great. Also the stock GTR monitor in the dash is all in Japanese so I have no clue how to fine tune this car. any way to change that into english??? Once again, any help would be awesome!!!!
