HEy guys i have a question, do u think it would be worth buying a 240 for 1,200 has 210,00 miles and the timing chain guide makes a rattling noise. On top of that how much longer do u think the car can go?

Lol you are in my boat then, the timing chain guide thing is common and you can remove it.... however no one can tell you how long the car will last without seeing/driving it... also what year are we talking?

unless you have a spare car in case of a problem then i would pass on it and buy something of better quality. I havent seen the car but you are going to college and that means you need a good reliable car that could last sometime and ya know cars dont run forever w/o giving out in area's and plus you are leery about it also b/c you wouldnt be asking so just hold off and find a lower mileage car is my suggestion

yeap np..i know how you feel..your like wow its cheap and it runs and i could fix it up over time but it could be the worst thing you could had done when you see somebody that has a clean a** s chassis that looks like the person paid a drop for it and you talk to them and they say i gave 3k for it and you are lookin at you car like ive put 2500 in it just to keep mine running and then you are heart broken and upset and refer to a honda accord or something like that and the dissatifaction of your 240 experience leads you to never be able to be happy with your life and then you find a gun in you parents closet and put your awful thoughts of bashing everyone else's clean 240 to hell to an end

If you arent going to swap the engine then make sure you get a dohc 240sx, that way if you feel like it you can, you know, turbo it? dohc 240sx were in the 92 and up years.

I got mine for 1500 dollars, however, i rushed into it and had to replace/fix alot of things. Like the "ebay" lowering springs on it... I hit my head on the roof soooo many times...... not to discourage but any used car is going to suck, as long as you realize this before hand you willbe G2G.

lol two tone isn't my thing, besides i want a sleeper, especially in the neighborhood where i live. Probably just paint it black or keep it white, the point is that the clear coat is fading BAAD and the dirt doesnt come of without scrubbing anymore so... i need to fix that, but cosmetic changes are low priority to me.
