i need help

my car is making a knocking in the motor is that the rod and if so the only way i can fix it is to rebuild the engine right? and how do i find a place that sells re-build kits cause i can do it on my own

Now would this be a physical or accustic knocking? Is the engine idling kinda bumpy and shaking the car like its misfiring? I'd check some of the basics first like spark plugs and seeing if they are torqued, and wether the gap is correct.

its like a loud preety hard knocking as from the time i start it to when i give it gas and go i was told it i threw a bearing and now the rod was knocking

Well check the plugs next time you can and if those are doing ok, then take it down to a trusted shop and have them take a look inside.
