Infiniti dealers do sell refurbished ones. You can try one of our sponsors. They'll most likely sell it cheaper than a local dealer.

I just replaced mine (same year) with a Sony aftermarket unit from Crutchfield. When I removed the OEM unit (no power) it had two stickers on it indicating that it had been serviced twice before.

Carstereohelp.com will not service these any more -- too many coming back. If you want to stick with OEM they recommend replacing with a '95 or later unit which requires a harness adapter, but is otherwise no big deal. At least it gives you more options.

The Sony doesn't look like OEM, but overall the fit is pretty good and if you stay away from a headunit with a lot of silver on it it looks OK

That's the going price and there's nothing to say that those won't crap out on you too.

Makes an aftermarket hu look like a better option all the time huh?

just replace mine with pioneer head unit, got gap filled and everything. gonna cost you about 100 bucks, still cheaper than the bose...crutchfield.com has everything u need...just type in the make and model of your car and they do the rest. freakin awesome!!!!
