If you want to run a high hp turbo setup, you'll need to bump down the compression to at least 8.5:1 compression.

Your teacher is partially right. He is probably well versed in Carb'd Musclehead V8s. And in terms of Distributor controlled ignition and a carb, yes, compression is too high. But we live in a modern age (1991 modern?, well anyway)where timing control and fuel control are not independent from each other, which they cannot be. You can boost your Nissan, but you will be walking a fine line. This forum is filled with people who have done it, and in a few months (everything willing), it will have at least one more. So to induct you, the way we induct all noobs, I will point your attention to the top right corner, and you will notice a blinking red tab that says search. SO SEARCH!!!Welcome to NICO!
