A) go with the boostdesign kit. i've heard nothing but glowing reviews about them. if i hadn't turboed my 240 almost 2 years ago, and i just started doing it now, i would've went with boost designs. they have excellent customer service, top quality products, and a great price. back then the turbo kits average $4000 dollars. teh boost design stage one cost only $1800.

A2) what you should do prior is make sure the car is running good. do a compression test on the engine to make sure your engine is in great shape. the last thing you want to do is to boost a hurt engine.

A3) if you want to go straight to turbo, i wouldn't bother with an intake, a chip, or headers. these thing will get discarded when you do a turbo install. however the things you can install and will swap over to the turbo and enhance its hp would be

1) underdrive pulley's2) 3 inch exhuast3) lightweight flywheel4) high performance clutch

these are the main things that are off the top of my head.

Don't skimp on fuel system upgrades. You could go ahead and get a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and a 300ZX TT fuel filter right now. Bottom of the line setup is a FMU. The basic fuel setup is a SAFC and 370cc injectors. A step up from that would be a JWT ECU and raking a little higher would be the Enthalpy tuned ECU. But JWT can program very large injectors(72lb) where I have only seen the #50 or 52 injectors for the Enthalpy. I can't remember which one it was. Then you obviously have the choice to go with a stand-alone unit. Obviously the best, but all great things require great skill. With the cost of the stand-alone, you should figure on adding quite a bit of extra money for tuning the unit.

Thanks guys but still a little to technical.. once i know what the maf SAFC JWT Standalone .. all that sh*t is then i would probably start figuring things out..still though what are the pros and cons of the SR20 and your opinions on that particular engine? Also ive read a bit on the SR20 and its seems cheaper to fix up since its internals can take the turbo abuse...i seriously need help and fu*k VW i dont want another one of those sh*ts....

The KA will be fine to 300-350hp with good tuning... Swap the pistions out and you will be happy up to the 500's. Which you wont reach any time soon.

You had a "Decked the F*** out" GTI but you don't know what a MAFS is? I would suggest reading on here for a while along with some other forums. Mass Air Flow Sensor(MAFS)

The SR takes what 400whp before it requires beefier internals? The KA isn't far behind. Downside to the KA is the PCV system, and its aggresive ECU tune.

SAFC= fuel injector control unit, allows you to run larger fuel injectors which allows you to run more boost, which allows more power=

JWT= Jim Wolf Tech, a re-flashed ECU, coming pre-tuned from Jim Wolf. Allows you to run larger injectors, like before, but if you wish to upgrade to another size, you have to send it out to get it re-flashed again.

MAF was mentioned before so i wont get into it

Standalone= self explanitory, Stands Alone fuel/ignition/boost system, allows the tuner complete control over the engine, downside is that it takes lots of time, patience, and skill to tune/install.

My opinion on the SR20- why go down in displacement? The KA seems to hold its own in power when turbod, and if you blow it, you can just go to a junkyard and get another one cheep, as opposed to waiting for another shipment of SR20s to come in and forking over another 2 and some-odd thousand dollars to get another one.As always, much of this information can be found by using the search function in this forum. ...and yes... Fu*k those VW Sh*tsDer 240sx ist shneller und starker als die Volkswagen (im a mechanical engineering/german major)

HAHAHAHA...

MAF sensor isn't forum slang. It's basic automotive knowledge.

Didn't you mean "My Mom's pimp has a decked out GTI?"
