I just bought some 07 350z wheels for my 06 altima and the rears rub like crazy. The rears are a little wider then the fronts but they are all 18s and the fronts have a big gap, but the rears only have about an inch to and inch and a half. I was told i can switch the springs from the front to the back and the backs to the front. Is that gonna work? I was also told I could get performance springs and that would help too. What do you guys recommend? pls help, I need to get this fixed asap... Oh if i need to get springs which website do u recommend?

I don't think the rear springs will fit on the front as those are two completely different strut setups. I don't even know if this is possible, but you may want to consider putting the wider wheels on the front, since that is the end that does all the work on your car. I've seen them on a Maxima and the guy had them installed that way.

ok, so that would fix the rubbing? wouldn't it still only be the same gap? and won't it rub when i turn?

Where is it rubbing exactly? Is it on the spring or on the fender lip? Stiffer springs may not help you because they almost always lower the car too.

And please put the wider wheels on the front if they fit. It is really ricey to put the wider wheels on the rear when it is a FWD car. Plus, it makes it even more understeer prone than it already is.
