I need help please.

Right now I'm working on fixing some bullsh*t as wiring the previous owner did that is causing my pwr windows not to work, got a few wires and a relay all melted and sh*t with exposed wiring. Trying to keep my baby from catching on fire. I will be posting pics of a certain relay I need help locating, that sucker is fried cant read the freagin #'s on it, all I know is autozone don't carry it. It's a round black relay that attaches to the side of the breaker box under the dash which if I'm not mistaken is a pwr window relay. Like I said I'll try to post pics if I can't come accross it but by all means please chime in if you know what I'm talking about. Any cross refference #'s or part #'s where to get it will be very helpfull.

Is this white box what is called the Pwr Window Amp? If it is looks like I need a little solder on the right hand side where the gold connection is. I couldn't find a white box in the door where I've seen mentioned before, this was by the footrest or breaker box so I hope this is it.



This is what I believe to be a window relay? Please correct me if I'm wrong but I need to know what it is and where to get it. This looks like the source of the wiring melting. It is also in the other pic with the white box. All of the relays are what not that are supposed to be clamped neatly by the breaker box are dangling everywhere so I'm having to trace wires all over the place.

That white box is TUC. It's common that thing goes bad. Greg did a write up, so you can find in 240 Tech page and fix it. If that thing goes bad, your cluster and AC control unit don't light up.

Thanks I'll be checking into that, in the meanwhile I think I found the Window amp I was looking for according to the fsm is located behind the backseat along with a few other relays. Does anyone know what it it controls? I took mine apart like someone did in another thread to check for any burnt spots but all I can see is alot of corrosion or rust I dont know don't look too good, not sure how it got that way prolly need to go ahead and replace it. Do I need to get one from a convertible? Can I get online?

I was looking thru the tech articles and I'm guessing this is what mine supposed to look like- jeez looks like a I really need another one.P.s. All my clusters including the ac still come on without the white box or TUC even plugged in??
