OKay.. i want 22s.. Now my car is about to be a show car rather than performance. I want 22s, and if im not mistaken 22x8.5 can fit with the right offset.. I just dont know how to calculate that! was planning on using 225/30/22..

What's the load rating of that tire?

You might have to go to 26", especially for show.

I hope your roads are VERY smooth cause 30 series tires are going to be VERY stiff. I would recommend at least a 100 load rating your your gonna bend those rims up big time. I would tell you 22" are over the top, but if you are completely bought into rims that large get the highest load rating you can get and expect those rims to be bent up in a few years.

arrgghhh after 2-3 days of looking and searching.. I get nothing. I even went to rent a tire thinking they are pros, they suck too.!! i told them i could get a 22x8.5 with a 20mm offset.
They aregue me down and said... im supposed to add more to the offset to make it fit.. im like wtf??
So i decide to go on cardomain and saw a car with 22s. and i get this http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2366667/1996-infiniti-q
I emailed him and he told me 22x9 in front and 22x10.5 in back.. Which i find to be impossible. I asked the guy what his offsets are, or name and brand of rims.. he got silent.. (maybe he thinks i wanna steal!!)
Anywho.. i really need to know what range my offset should be to fit a 22inch rim and tire. When i tried a 22x8.5 , it rubbed on that elbow arm looking thing.. (idk what its called). So the rim wouldnt even properly mount on.. offset on that was +40.. Ive tried reading wiki trying to understand offset, but i dont know how to do calculations on a 22inch rim.. thnx if anyone sees this and helps me .!

Romeo, I don't want to rain on your parade, but if you can't find the information on what size actually works (AS DESIGNED) for your vehicle - the simple answer is, because it's not the right size. The car is just not built for it. When this car was made, 22's were ONLY on large SUV's, and that was pushing it. 12 years later it is a bit more commonplace and cars actually come STOCK with 20" inch wheels, making the reach to 22" much easier.

You'll have the same luck finding info on what 26" tires will fit - nothing!

If it helps, I had 255/35/19's on my Q. No problems with that setup.
