i have looked through many threads and couldnt find any info on a suspension set-up i want. I already have rims that are 17"X 7 with a 40mm offset. I was wondering if the tein He would clear this. I know someone has told me that they would but they were not for sure. Is there some way i could make this work . Maybe buy some spacers? if so what size? What about longer wheel studs? and places to find these items. Sorry for all the questions, im still kinda new to all this. Thank in advance for all your help!

no

http://www.wheelspacer.com

or optionimports, link on your left. they sell bolt on H&R spacers.

get 15 to 20mm and I think you will be ok. i'll let someone else chime in to back that up though, I'm not 100% sure.

I have 17x7 with 40 offset. If stock suspension can clear it (it can, mine does), I'd think the Teins HEs (which are smaller in diameter of spring than stock springs/shocks) should clear them too. I am running 205s in the frotn right now, there is room for +10mm tire upgrade. After that I'd have to get spacers or better offset wheels.

then you don't understand the construction of coilovers vs a spring and shock combo.

the spring will come down a lot farther on the shock body on a set of coilovers, and the whole overall assembly is generally slightly shorter, so even though the springs are wrapped much tighter, you still loose a ton of offset space, dependent upon the size of the shock and the diameter of the spring coils.
