well to me it sounds like you are either countersteering too late or you are hitting the gas too hard. i'd try countersteering earlier first.

Take it easy on the gas Daniel son, J/K no but your giving it to much gas at the end, feather the throttle!

keep drifting you will figure it out. countersteer before the car actually starts coming back around. if its starting to come around its too late in most cases.

well i start to counter steer when the car starts to slide out and i try to do it with the car sliding out but the rear end wont kick out. it will just stop sliding and dependent on the techniqe i use it will either snap back straight or it will just lock out the rear wheels. i really dont know i guess i have to just either start going faster or do the feint manuver (not a big fan of the feint). but i guess im either scared from my accident that i did and dont want another one to happen(dont have the money to fix another wreck) or it could be because of the winter driving change here where i live.

let go of the steering wheel, idk. After counter steer let go of the wheel for a sec and let the car straighten itself out, I see many beginner spin on the tail end of a drift because they wont take their hands off the steering wheel. Oh yeah, the open diff aint helping you any.

Are you letting off the gas near the end? with an open diff that can be a very bad thing.

Always point the wheels where you want to go.

And yes, like she/he said above, hold the the gas.

If you don't, the wheels will catch traction and snap like you said.

I made the same mistake on a grip run once lol.. basically, car understeered, and i kept my foot on the gas to get teh rear to spin a bit.it went towards the inside again, but i didn't hold the throttle so it caught traction and started going towards the inside.(It went towards the inside because i counter-steered late lol...)

I'm still learning myself, so don't worry, you'll get smooth exits soon enough.

What year 240sx do you have and is it an SE?

Just curious if you actually do have VLSD or not.

yeah, when you want to straighten, let go of the wheel completely, and then grab it when the wheel is straight.if you try to fight it back and forth you will snap back and forth.it takes a little getting used to, so do it in a parking lot or something and not on a road.i crashed before i figured this out.haha

well tried that and it felt like i had no control over the car and there is no big parking lot where i can do this at i know my town by the back of my hand and i havent found another one and i say another one because me and my friends went back there to drift and got chased out many times and the cops eventualy put a squad in the parking lot to watch for us so we stoped but we found a nice area where we dont seem to get botherd at all really. but the only down side about this place is CURBS!!
