Can someone tell me how you adjust the engagment positions of the clutch? my clutch engages to high on the clutch. I just installed a nismo slave cylinder. thanks.

The only reason i ask this question is because i took my car to nissan and the engagment of the clutch was all the way to the floor after they installed the nismo slave cylinder. The clutch pedal also did not return all the way to the original position. I took it back and they said all they had to do was adjust the new slave cylinder. So i just don't want to go back and ask them to adjust it again for a thrid time if I can do it my self.

Take it back to them and make them do it for free. They never put it in correctly and it is their responsibility to do so. Take it to the BBB if you have to.They should be able to do it while you wait. It is a 10 minute job.I don't like to get dirty if I don't have to. Particularly if I paid someone else and I am getting messy correcting THEIR mistakes.

All you have to do is adjust the rod that attatches to your clutch pedal. There is a lock nut on the rod, loosen it, then turn the rod to adjust where the clutch engages in the throw. You will probably have to play with it a bit to get it where you want it, but it's super easy.

you just loosen that nut and twist the rod going into the master cylinder.

IIRC if you turn it clockwise it engages higher and if you turn it counter clockwise, your lowering your engagement point.

don adjust it too low tho .. you wont be able to put it in gear ..

dont adjust to high either becuase the clutch might still be disengages a little if theres not enought room for it to pull all the way out. when i did my adjustment someone told me to tighten it till it gets hard. at that point there was no play and the clutch grapped higher so i back the rod up a few turns to get it to grap were i liked.
