the signal 350z has a sr20det

as for the rb26dett in the 240 i my self this weekend just put a rb25det (singal turbo) in a s13.. the car dose not do endos and it was not to hard to put in with the mount kit..

the rb26det will not fit unless you customize the maniflod to fit it in, it will hit steering shaft. also with the rb26dett you have to change it to a rb25 transmission because your not all wheel drive. the swap is alot of money but ohh so worth it at the end im not sure on power but with littel work you can be up their..

too tell you the truth your might be better of going ka-t it's a bang for your buck!!!! alot of power with very littel money..

at the end it's your choice and dont let haters discurge you...

Welcome aboard!

First, let me guide you to the 240sx forum - You're in the Convertibles forum...

Second, do you HAVE a 240 yet? If not, let's worry about finding you a good 240sx forst.

Third, the RB26DETT is a rare motor and will likely cost you a chunk of change. You'll need an RB25 transmisssion, and while it CAN be installed in a 240, it's a big job. Plan on a budget of $15K.

Welcome aboard, look around, do lots of reading!

one of our members is currently working on an rb26dett in his vert, retaining the twin turbos as well I believe. Run a quick search and contact him via email, he could probably help you out. Other than that, try google, this subject has been covered a lot and the swap has been done more than few times already... its expensive and parts are hard to get and you usually end up needing some obscure bits that prove to be impossible to obtain and delay the whole thing for months. BUT... nothing would be quite as cool as popping your hood and having an rb26dett... so.. whatever suits you. Just make sure you know what you are getting into and have the money for it.
