at this point i think its a good idea to decide whether you really wanna learn everything you need to know about...well cars in general, or you wanna pay somebody to build you a nice, fast, dependable car. unless you really have the *desire* to get into automotive performance and learn, just dont really worry about it...pay the money to build a nice car, drive it and like it.

j92s is right. the i/h/e you'd need (or want) for a productive N/A setup would not be used AT ALL once you turbo. simply rebuilding youre engine is a good, very good, idea but its not gonna take nearly that much time off the 1/4. since you only somewhat seem to know what you're ultimately trying to achieve, im gonna make a suggestion:you want a fast daily driver and have plenty of money. swap in an SR and put in a fairly large turbo, about the biggest youd want on a daily driver - around maybe 200-300 hp (members: opinions?). then spend some cash on body mods - headlight/tailight conversions, widebody kits, rims...whatever turns you on.
P.S. If i had 26 grand and wanted a good, fast, dependable daily driver...i would buy a "nicer," more expensive, and faster car and just tune it mildly
