dude...that doesnt make sense. why do it twice?

so, you're gonna build it for all motor, then rebuilt it again for turbo? Just save your pennies Any money you spend on intake/header/cams will be completely wasted

Oh, and you posted asking how hard it is to change the wheels/tires at the drag strip? If you dont know how to change a tire, find a new hobby!

at this point i think its a good idea to decide whether you really wanna learn everything you need to know about...well cars in general, or you wanna pay somebody to build you a nice, fast, dependable car. unless you really have the *desire* to get into automotive performance and learn, just dont really worry about it...pay the money to build a nice car, drive it and like it.

j92s is right. the i/h/e you'd need (or want) for a productive N/A setup would not be used AT ALL once you turbo. simply rebuilding youre engine is a good, very good, idea but its not gonna take nearly that much time off the 1/4. since you only somewhat seem to know what you're ultimately trying to achieve, im gonna make a suggestion:you want a fast daily driver and have plenty of money. swap in an SR and put in a fairly large turbo, about the biggest youd want on a daily driver - around maybe 200-300 hp (members: opinions?). then spend some cash on body mods - headlight/tailight conversions, widebody kits, rims...whatever turns you on.

P.S. If i had 26 grand and wanted a good, fast, dependable daily driver...i would buy a "nicer," more expensive, and faster car and just tune it mildly

if i had that kind of money i would just buy somethin else. but im sittin here wiht a tight budget. i do need to do a lot of body work on door dings etc but the thing is im not that knowledgable on cars obviously. i dont change my own oil... mainly because i have a VERY hectic schedule and usually im off doing somethin and one of my parents is gracious enough to loan me their car while they get it changed. yeah i could do it myself i just never can find the time. as far as lil problems i could try and fix them or get some friends to help and not have too much trouble. but i think maybe i should just give up the dream of my car fast and save up for somethin a lil nicer. i mean i wouldnt mind having an old muscle car.
