I need help getting the wires into the trunk from the backseat. from the truk it seems everything is welded and blocked off with metal plates. DO i drill a hole or must i remove the back piece of back seat?.

this is for the 2008 m35.

also does anyone know of the best lowering springs that give the biggest drop?

Those don't look to fun to work on because of the power rear seat option. There's got to be a grommet to get all the wiring to the trunk, and knowing Nissan I'd guess it's on the driver side somewhere so that's where I would start looking.

If the hood latch is a mechanical lever there is almost always a grommet that it goes through that is large enough to poke a 4awg or 2awg through.

What components are you putting in the M?

dear god I hope not. That w7 in a properly designed enclosure will easily do 130dB.

The stock speakers might be able to hit 105dB

I have two 6" subs with 120w that hit 135 db on music, I sure as hell hope that a w7 with a THOUSAND WATTS puts out like a prom date in comparison.

exactly! This is why I hate helping people that are onlyu adding a sub to a fully stock system. It is a totally lopsided setup that sounds like arse.

What 6" subs do you have, and where were you measuring that output at?

I have 2 TC sound 12" db-500s in my station wagon. They have ~22mm one way xmax. On my radioshack dB analog meter it registers 120dB. But the meter is insensitive at low frequencies. So it's actually much higher.

The thing is, my main speakers can hit 118dB on this meter. So it's not a lopsided setup

measuring at the windshield per comp regulations. JL 6W0's. Does your ratshack meter read in dba or dbc?

I don't understand why you don't like to help people if they are only doing a sub. It all comes down to personal preference in what they want to hear as I know you have said many times before. The person who adds a huge sub today is probably doing an amp and 4 a few months down the road anyway.

true, but i usually like to ask if theyre installling speakers later. If not then it turns me off to helping them. I'll give them a little advice, but I wont pay too muvh attention.

I'll check my meter later

Bose decreases the bass through ALL the speakers as volume increases. Does the M have a sub volume control on the deck? Probably your only way to compensate.

Converted: Is there an adaptor for that model that allows usage of an Aftermarket HU with the bose amps?

If so, that would get rid of that bass reducing feature
