I believe the battery in my key went dead , it has been going low for awhile and I did not take care of it . Where should I go to replace this battery . I have had my coupe for a little over a year is it normal that it went dead ?

Yes this has been discussed before. Use the search feature for this. If you find it they describe how to replace the battery and which battery to use.

I have not had any issues with either of my FOB, but some other members keys have stopped working. Id say it happens less than more.

It has been discussed but...just go a get a CR 2032 "button cell or watch" battery from wal-mart (they sell packs of 2 for like 4 bucks...)

its also in your manual

use a small flathead screwdriver to pop open the fob and replace battery..takes a little while for car to reset the low battery warning though

Make sure you have the polarity of the battery correct, the side with the writing (flat side) faces down when the battery is in its slot...also try putting the key fob in the key fob slot...and starting

That warning you are speaking of is the SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT....it might be that your fob needs reprogrammedpage 2-25 of your manual

Security indicator lightThe security indicator light blinks whenever theignition switch is in the OFF, LOCK or ACCposition. This function indicates the NISSAN VehicleImmobilizer System is operational. If the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System is malfunctioning, the light will remain on while theignition switch is in the ON position. If the light still remains on and/or the enginewill not start, see a NISSAN dealer forNISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System serviceas soon as possible. Please bring allregistered keys that you have when visitingyour NISSAN dealer for service."
