I need help i dont know what happened, and what the mechanic told me was wrong

Yesterday i went to drive my car and it was acting real wird It was really loud kinda sounds like a lawn mower or dirt bike or some type of 2 cycle engine, when that mornig it drove ok. When i accelerate it has hardly no power and the exhaust makes a real deep noise. And after driving it i got out and look at it which by now it is dark soo i could see that the exhaust the headers the down pipe the intermetiate pipe to the cat are alll bright orange like they are burning. I also takes alot longer to build up RPMs and speed. I took it to get looked at and they pluged it in to a scanner and then told me that it was the temp sender that comes off the top radiator hose soo he told me to just buy one at discount auot soo i did and then started the car and it did the same thing.

thats kinda the same **** thats happening to my car...wtf is going on yo, my car barley has power, and theres a loud *** knockin noise in the engine and shizznit

If you are running rich it is going to cause your cat to over heat and brake apart. put a vaccume gauge on your car and snap the throttle. the gauge should go to zero once you tuch the throttle. if it does not you have to much back prussure do to the exhaust system
