I need help, half dash lights stay on

I have a 2001 pathy, I just got it in aug, it has 152k I love the thing but it's starting to show me it's ugly side......once in a while when I go to turn it on half the dash lights up, if I have the headlight switch on auto or manual only half of the dash lights up, the mph and the gas gauge stay dark....but after a couple of min they just turn on, it's a hit and miss thing but it is happening more and more often ..has anyone out there run in to this and

Try replacing the "TAIL" fuse behind the coin tray.

Ok I'm going to try that, but my tail lights work fine, is it like piggy backed to the tail circuit?

Yep. TAIL fuse controls interior illumination.

Heres my $0.02 Mine was the bulb holder connection in back. I would loose the speedometer and fuel gauge.

I had switched them out for now. Gonna clean/readjust the contacts later.

I took of the tail lamp Fuse and the turn fuse and it seemed to work thanks :-), I'm going to see how long it last if not I'm going to open it up and see if contacts are clean, and add the LEDs while I'm there. Were can I get the LEDs ?
