Ok. I have searched on this but cannot find the answer to what I'm looking for.

I need to get my hands on a trunk/gas door release cable. I have been through two on the vert and the plastic fastener bracket near the gas door has broken twice.

The question is two fold:

1. Is the cable the same on coupes/hatches/verts?2. If vert specific, does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks guys and gals. I appreciate any insight that can be given.

P.S. The Vader Vert was never sold and will be going to the SEMA show in Las Vegas to be displayed in the BOSCH booth. She is going through a major transformation as we speak. This time I will take photos along the way and post them after SEMA. Oh man.......It's gonna be crazy!!! So much for getting married............

Hahahaha....thanks anyways.

Yea, I got the gal to let me liquidate my RHD civic and Time Attack civic instead. So the vert will be my only toy for awhile.

I can't wait to show you guys what aero is going on the car!

The cable should be identical to the coupes (not sure if the coupes and fastbacks use the same cable honestly)

Think the Hatch and Coupe cables are different from the way they are mounted/run. But yes the coupe and vert should be the same.

glad it stayed in with you mickey, and honestly, getting rid of the civics was worth it!!! its only fitting to have two sexy s-chassis in the family, you can't let her win that easily . And judging by the car, that means your girl is... is...... well, all I gotta say is, you're a lucky man

Mick -

We fabbed a replacement metal bracket for a coupe I was working on a year or so ago. PITA, but functional.

Who's teh girlie? That S14 is STELLAR.

I've been talking with Gittin about working with Bosch on some promotions, maybe we should all meet up in Vegas.

[offtopic]What's going on with your vert anyways? You're selling the front end but keeping the car? Going S13.5?[/offtopic]

Greg,

Thanks for the tip.

We should all meet in Vegas. In fact, I am certain we will see each other if you are going to meet with Gittin. We'll be in the same place! At that time you can meet my fiance.....and talk nissans....she knows her stuff!

Loki,

I'm keeping the car and rebuilding it. Nope, not a fan of S13.5 at all. You'll have to wait and see. I promise I won't disappoint!

I dunno man. I think any front end besides Kouki is a step down. I'm anxiously awaiting what will become of our beloved Vader Vert

Wow, this has gotten WAYYYYY off topic.

Greg, Dinner. Let's do it! Hopefully there will be some booze and debauchery involved?

Honestly Loki, I agree. I lost sleep over this decision. I have since decided to keep the Kouki face and change my plans a bit. After all, the front is what made this car what it is.

I am excited for the new parts to arrive from Japan and get this thing buttoned up.

Stay Tuned and thanks for the help on the release cable fellas.
