I am trying to get video to record on my computer using this method xbox to vcr, to recording device ( and from this to the computer ) but also form the vcr to the tv.I hooked up my rca cables from the xbox to the input on the vcr, and hooked up a pair of cables from the output to the video capture device. the rca cables have no problem getting a signal but i want a signal to my tv too!.so i hooked up a normal tv cable to TV OUT on the vcr, to the tv IN on the tv.But I am getting NO signal. please help me fix that.

and after i get that sorted and done with can anyone tell me how to record the video signal on the computer....

I'm assuming you don't have a dvd recorder? What kind of computer do you have? details on the capture device? Does the VCR have two outputs that it can use simultaneously?

VCR can only output to one device at a time. You can't watch your game on the TV while recording on the PC.

Not DVD capture, video capture. DVD recorder is the drive that writes DVDs. Capture device is the piece of hardware you're using to accept the VCR output on the computer.
