Ok so i have a S13 93' 240SX with the KA24DE Its leaking alot of oil from the front section of the engine, im trying to figure out where its coming from and would appriciate any ideas or suggestions you guys might have for me, so let me describe what im thinking, on my engine, it has a front cover that comes off, like 8 bolts, crankshaft pulley comes out the bottom, im not sure of its exact name, it goes from top to bottom of the engine, i believe that the oil is leaking from the upper portion of this cover, if you guys can confirm this, what is this piece called, and where can i get the gasket for it, thank you

thats what i had in mind. They way i see it is that if its leaking from above the crank then it has to be something like the gasket material has somehow became obsolete and oil has found its way through.

might as well get a new timing set since you are going to all of the work of pulling the front cover.

well the gentleman i bought it from decided to use gasket maker for a large amount of the engine as opposed to actual gaskets so im not supprised its leaking, as for chaos, why do you say front main? any reason or just had the same problem maybe, im thining its from the top part of the timing housing, cuz there is no oil above that seem, but im not 100% ill keep i in mind, i might actually rebuild the whole engine while im at it that way i know that everything is golden haha, no better satisfaction than knowing youve done it yourself

i actually had an s14 ka with the front seal out and it was leaking pretty bad, easy change tho i would check your front seal before pulling the timing chain cover all the way off
