Well here it goes....a 240sx was purchased for me wife and i had it shipped to italy where im stationed . the vehicle has about 230,000 miles on it ad needs work.... its my wifes first car.. upon arrival i drove it and it has a shudder/vibration at 30mph to 45 mph and again at 60 to about 70,75 mph... This vibration happens in gear and in neutral (at speed) so im convinced the transmission is not the problemsome other observations i have made is using the clock system on the steeriong wheel ...12:00 being the top......when the steering wheel is at the 12 it doesnt seem to veer to the right or left but when i turn even a litle to the 1:00 or the 11:00 it feels like it has a slight pull right after it passes the 12.....not alot though but you can feel the difference.........im thinking it could be the alignment...the steering wheel doesnt vibrate or shudder ....just the car which leads me to believe that the wheels are balanced......what could it be????...........after a little more looking the front driverside impact brace behind the front bumper is knocked back showing definite signs of a fender bender. the front bolt peeled the metal back arounf the hole where the frot securing bolt was attached and the rear securing bolt/brace just slid back to absorb the impact like it was designed. i looked and looked there is NO damage anywhere else and nothing was re welded and there is no bondo ...just a new front bumper ...could this be causing the vibration .....if so can it be fixed....if not ....and this is where the transplant part comes in....... i have located a pick n pull...(in italy) that has a 200sx.....i would just switch everything over and not worry about it but when it comes time to ship it to the staes it couldnt happen without sending it to a company to do a conversion which is really expensive.... what they do in the conversion is install the automatic seatbelt system.....the ka24det and the new dash, and winshields...ect.....could i do the conversion myself switching over ht dash and welding in the anchorpoints for the automatic seatbelts,in front of the rear seats.. and basically installing everything into the bare 200sx body???? i know this is alot but any help would be appreciated

check your tires for bad spots and get an alignment done. you also might have a bad carrier barring or drive shaft that is causing the vibration.

+1 for the drive shaft. Your car does not sound too bad. that 200sx probably has a LSD and would be a good parts source all around. Where in Italy are you?

I was in Aviano for a bit-I sure wish I could stroll down to the local junk yard or Nissan dealer and order up some SR20 or RB parts. Let us know what you find when you look at the car.
