I'm trying to figure out where to get a swap from. I'm in ga which is not the most happening place for 240's. If somebody could tell me the best source that would be great. Is e-bay usually too high? Also will a red top motor go in an S14 with no trouble? or do I need a black top motor? my car is an automatic and I want to change it to a 5speed, so is there anything else I'll need if I get a whole front clip? (besides the interior plastic pieces of course) ([email protected])

i got my front clip from LS automotive, very fast shipping and good price.and i think you will need the master from a usdm car,i dont think the jdm one will work.and you can use a redtop motor just the same as the black.

Cardinal Performance http://www.cardinalperformance.com is the best shop in GA for a motor set. If I were you I'd buy a clip (which they have in stock) since you'll get all the stuff you need for the 5spd conversion (well everything but the clutch line since that's LHD).

Redtop goes into the S14 just like an S13, the wiring is a bit of a pain but it's not a really big deal to work out.

Ebay motor's are junk, stay away from them. There are a lot of shady shops out there now importing stuff trying to make a buck, you really have to be careful who you go through.

hope that helps, give Cardinal a call.

I would really try to persuade you to get an S14 SR in your chassis. I had major headaches with the wiring for the redtop into a S14 chassis. I still haven't worked out all the kinks.

The S14SR swap isn't any easier..... trust me heh. I had my S13 into S14 working a lot smoother than the straight S14 swap I did last month.
