Ok, So i was driving my car pretty hard one day and my transmission took a sh*t. Well atleast that is what i thought at first. It became very difficult to shift iinto first and 2nd through 4th were not possible to shift into. The only way the car woukd move was for me to turn the car off and put it in first and then turn the key and the car would lurch forward and take off. So the clutch wasnt disengaging.
So I dropped the drivetrain for a closer look, when i pulled the transmission out there was a lot of oil and shredded clutch.
I pulled the pressure plate off and the clutch came out in crumbles. So i went ahead and replaced the rear oil seal and threw in a ACT street/Strip Clutch. Replaced the release bearing and had the flywheel resurfaced. After all this the clutch still will not disengage. (o yah, i bled the clutch also, which brings me to my real question)
When i was bleeding the clutch, the clutch operating cylinder is recieving fluid but i noticed the the piston is barely moving. Is this strictly a slave cylinder problem or should i go ahead and replace the master cylinder as well?
Any info would be great.
