For about the last month, I have been losing about 4-8oz of radiator fluid a day. I could smell that radiator fluid was be vented somewhere. So, I parked the car over a clean piece of cardboard, to check for leaks. I left it for 2 days, nothing. So, I was like WTF. Then, recently, I was changing out the temperature gauge sending unit, for an aftermarket one. So, I was right by the thermostat. Then, something caught my eye in the valley. Green liquid. Could only be rad fluid.

Now that I know what the problem is, I know that I have to replace the Under-Plenum hoses. Do I have to buy the Kit to do this. I heard that joe sells it for a discount. How much is that?

Could I use rubber hoses from the hardware store to do the job? What runs through all of the lines that I will be replacing? Are any of the lines high pressure?

There are a couple hoses in the valley way in the back. I'd guess one of them is the culprit. Give Joe a call at 1-88-216-5328 to get quotes.

If the glycol has been there any length of time, you probably need new knock sensors also. Best to have them on hand as they can be returned if unopened.

On the other hand, if you have the miles on the car, you will probably want to replace them now along with the harness so you don't have to tear it all the way down when they do fail.

Are you living in Seattle or Austin?
