I need an opinion....

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

I am looking at starting a project in the fall. I had planned on putting a vh45de engine in a S14 chassis. But I do have a '65 mustang coupe thats already completely stripped. I also have a VH. Im not really a ford guy but a nissan man. Would it be stupid putting the VH in the mustang? I would have plenty of room in the engine bay. I think it would be interesting. Just looking for some feedback/support.

not sure how wide the vh is but i do know that the 65 66 coupe was a little narrower than the 67 68 mustangs. Might want to take some measurements. Other than that go for it. I dont see no reason why not. Good car and a good motor. What tranny do you plan on using?

You really should look into this swap, the motor with the 90-93 ECU modified to be a NICO ECU would be a really fun street car. And with straight pipes it will sound like no other mustang around.

Thanks for the encouragement. I took some measurements. It would be a tight squeeze on the sides. I might even have to make notches somewhere. The is a ton of length in the engine bay though. Ill have to get my boy to help me try to mount the beast.

if you dont like the tight squeeze you can always look into a RB25/26 or 2JZ swap for your stang...

I decided to get a new suspension that takes the struts out of the towers. That way I can cut off the strut towers. I think that will give me another 12" of width
