So I took it into a local shop and they did some tests on my 1991 300zx tt to tell me exactly what was wrong with it. Here is what they came up with:
1. Oil leaking from: front seal, cam and crank seal, all valve covers, rear main seal, turbo oil lines, oil pan seal, oil cooler lines, and maybe the VTC gears.
2. There is a leak in the passenger side cat back to the down pipe.
3. Intake manifold is full of oil from excessive blow by.
4. Cylinder 6 is misfiring. It has no compression and is full of oil. Compression is getting by piston or ring.
5. They recommend to replace all engine related hoses as well.

So that's it. So what do you guys think I should do?

It sounds like you have a pretty solid case of engine failure due to age and use. Unless you want to be nickel and dimed each time you replace something on this car (and assuming you want to keep this car), rebuilding or purchasing a recently refreshed engine would be a cheaper/quicker solution than putting band aids on the obvious problem.

Take it to another shop to get second opinion. The oil leaks you posted, normal for the valve covers to leak after years, could easily have coated all you have listed, front seal should have been replaced with Timing belt.

Do they have compression numbers for the other cylinders? Is the car running bad? Do you notice excessive smoke with boosting/regular driving?

I understand things go bad with time, but its real easy for shop to take advantage of certain situations.

Yea man I definitely feel like they may have been trying to just take advantage of me. They didnt give me compression numbers they just said it had none at all. Just to give more info the passenger side turbo was recently replaced by me because it was leaking oil. That rlly did cover everything in oil. And there is still tons of smoke coming out of both the exhaust and the engine bay.

Compression on all the other cylinders they said were good. And there is excessive smoke while regular driving and boosting.

This^^ for sure. Too much potential money involved not to get a second opinion.

No, only the dishonest ones. Just don't share the laundry list from the other estimate and see what happens.

if i decided just to sell should i part out or sell completely? Does anyone have parting out experience with a 300zx TT? How long did it take you to part out and how much total did you make from it?

You should get the second estimate before speculating about worst case scenarios.

But since you ask, it really depends on what kinda overall condition the car is in overall, and how much time/effort/hassle you want to invest in selling it as parts. If the repair estimates turn out to be too expensive for you, it would be far easier to sell it as a whole, and walk away than to prolong the agony to save a few extra bucks off your loss.
