I have a 1995 S14. It has a one wire O2 sensor. This means its OBD-1 correct? Being OBD-1 is it still very different from the S13 OBD-1 System? Does this mean the transmission will still have a CAS on it?

I know the harness plug is diffrent physically on the s14 so that brings on my next question.

In a S14 that is OBD-1 will the harness just plug onto a OBD-1 motor? I know the s14 and s13 physical plugs are different on the ecu side.

I have also heard of jumper harnesses for the s14 to obd1.. anyone have a source for them.

So with that all said is there a place to just buy a jumper harness so I can use a OBD-1 engine harness in a S14 lol

If it is an early 95 like my car it is OBD1 even though it has an OBD2 diagnostic connector under the dash.It does have the CAS on the transmission. The system is different from the S13. As far as a plug and play harness i have not seen one myself.

Ok, so that is confirmed there is a CAS on the transmission... Thank you..

I have found the following website: http://www.roastedpavement.com/harnessadapter.htm

On this website he does a step by step walk through of making a S14 to S13 ecu jumper harness.

He states by doing so you will be able to use a S13 ecu on a S14. This would solve all the problems with the CAS and so on.

Does the S14 have the same style of plug that comes off the Main ECU harness that goes to the dash wiring. On the S13 harness there is a plug that goes to your dash that controls all the gauges.

Last question: Does anyone know the direct wiring difference between a S13 and S14 engine harness. I'm pretty sure its all the lower intake manifold as when you put in a S14 KA24DE you have to swap the lower intake manifold for a OBD1 one.

I feel bad for asking this barrage of questions but its 10 degrees out side and I wont be messing with the car till springs. So I research now and be ready for spring.

you're funny. your question is convoluted! My 1995 240sx has a one wire O2 sensor in the engine bay and a three wire O2 sensor further down the line(under the car). The 95 could be OBD1 or OBD 2 depending when it was manufactured, I don't remember which month. Mine was built in September or so. Figure out the manufacture date and you may come across your answer easier.
