project nightmare ......... so after finding out the engine that was to be a 93 is a 94 and the shipping company lost it for 4 weeks. I now have the engine unwrapped and am figuring out how to do the wiring and other swap items, i find the distributor is smashed...... I need one the yard is looking but like the other items i bought and they took weeks to arrive, i am not holding my breathe. anyone have a distributor sitting around

thanks

New they cost ~~$600. Used ones depending on miles can develop spark scatter from wear and dirt/oil on the 360 degree - 1 degree pulse wheel especially at high rpms near redline.

Have you contacted any of the sellers in the Infiniti Parts For Sale forum? There's not too many 94-96 being parted out. You may have to settle for a 90-93 and rewire the connector.

i have a 90-93 but the area on the head itself looks totally different as in where the mounting flange is. this is the sensor just below the drivers side cas. it has a large hitachi emblem and a chrome part number i think on a black plastic cap.

There's always http://www.car-part.com or if you're lucky you have a you-pull-it type place nearby. There's one here... I want to spend a day combing through their stuff at some point...
