well if you did the wiring yourself then its easy. there should be a brown plug near the battery tray. the plug should have been splice from an old KA harness. The brown wire is on that plug and i'm told it should be hooked up to a 12v switched source.

I didn't do the wiring. I bought the harness prewired from someone here on NICO (I forgot who). But I learned my lesson: this harness has had a few bugs in it:(

The only brown wire that I can find near the battery tray is from the fuse block, and it is going into a plug from my KA subharness. It is a brown wire with a white stripe.

Dee, Ryan, Sean, Kevin, TMS, Rafi, Paul, Korey....anyone please help. I am for real getting desperate...

I guess this is what you want. I went by the wiring on heavythrottle.com, worked perfectly for me. I thought it was messed up for a while, but turned out to be my alternator. anyway...

that doesn't make any sense. it looks like you connected the brown wire from the plug to the brown wire on the harness and heavythrottle.com says to connect the brown wire to a 12v switched source. last time i checked it doesn't get any power at all.

Well, I got to poking around, and I see that the former owner of this harness had clipped the wires and run them somewhere else:( So I think I now have to pull the whole damn thing apart and redo the harness.

I did change my plugs (which were sooty black...aka too rich) and my O2 sensor (dayum, that thing was funky) and now it runs like before (crap when cold, perfect at any RPM or throttle when warm). Mabye he wired the O2 sensor power into something else already? I dunno...Thanks for your help guys.

well, I dunno. I guess I figured that brown to bron made sense. It was like 3 or 4 months ago. Anyway, it worked.

Ok, I just looked at both fsms, ca18det and 240sx, there is a brown wire that goes from the ACC which also goes to pressure regulator control solenoid valve and to the connector beside the batter on the fender side, this brown wire you have to hook it up to the brown wire on the KA engine room harness, it should have +12v when ignition is on. I don't know how heavy throttle have theirs set, but I got both fsms infront of me and both show that the brown wire from the ca18det ACC should and must go to the brown wire on the KA body (engine room) harness which is +12v when ignition is on. Also I got an engine started ca18det while sitting on the ground and I got this wire hooked to switched 12v, works flawless.

good luck,
