read up the stickes on top. you use your ecu to get it chip and they will burn you a similar turbo setup basemapif your not new to turbocharging then you should know what you need for the car.

So it needs the E.C.U. to be tuned who do you suggest to do the work? I have looked at these tabs and every link gets off the subject from the beginning and never answers my questions. So thanks for your reply. I am actually trying to finish a project of my friends but he didn't know the answers to these questions. So i am hoping i can find an intelligent person on here to help. He has a 1995 240sx t3/t4 turbo on it. The motor has forged pistons in it and has been rebuilt it has a safc2 installed and upgraded injectors to 450cc. Its running the stock fuel pump which i believe he should upgrade to either a 190lph or a 255lph. But he said the ecu was stock non turbo ecu. I figure it has the wrong fuel and timing maps and needs either a flash or a new one? It runs extremely rich right now at idle. It also has little brakes i believe it has a vacuum leak. It runs the stock Mass air flow sensor as well. Will it work turbo'ed? let me know please! Don't reply if you don't know the answer of if your going to say look it up or search or what ever. I need real answers right here in this thread . Thanks to all!

SAFC is a very crude way to tune. It can be done, but not safely and not without some sort of timing control. He should stop driving it immediately and get a real tune for the injectors that he is running.

Search for JWT or EFI Specialist, you will have to send off the ecu so that the tuner can chip it. That would be the easiest for you to do.

255lph fuel pump should be the first upgrade when thinking about going turbo.

You have some research to do.

Okay the ecu must be tuned! to the injectors factory n/a are 295cc the ones in his car are 440cc from a s15 . That's twice the stock size nearly it causes extreme rich idle condition. The stock mass air flow sensor will work but is only good for 260 w.h.p. To get around this you need a 300 zx N/a or turbo mass air folw sensor which is good for at least 350 w.h.p . The ecu needs tuned to which ever mass air flow sensor you choose. The reason the Mass air flow sensor stock is only good for 260 hp is cause it reads only to five volts after 5 volts which is computed around 260 whp there no longer is a timing and fuel map to control the mixtures. The injectors need to be tested to see if they are high or low impendence. Low would be 2-4 high would be 12-14. You need high 12-14. The ecu is only tuned for the 12-14 oms . Using something other than this will damage the ecu.
